
The British Handball Association has appointed Danish coach Jesper Holmris to take charge of the women's side.
Holmris, 37, who has been working with British Handball's academy in Denmark, takes over from Morten Arvidsson.
The World Class Handball Programme aims to bring the GB men's and women's sides up to a level that will enable them to compete at the London Olympics in 2012.
British Handball's Chris Spice said: "We look forward to our matches later in the year with great excitement."
